Angelus Custos was almost cancelled at one point. It was almost never anything because of the complexity behind the story. It was shelved several times, but after a dream I had surfaced I found a perfect idea to place it around. After finishing it though it led to so many more ideas. Anthony and his love for Bridgette and their supernatural experiences carved the pathway for a successful thrilling story indeed. It teaches about controlling your emotions, about thinking before acting, but also that life is out of your control. When you try to force it to be the way you find right, consequences will follow.

The dream related to this one was where I was going to this forest with a woman I was madly in love with. I was going to propose there to her after being with her close by since childhood. But... tragedy struck, moments later. As her and I sat eating doing a picnic, right before pulling the ring out these masked people jumped us. They brutally beat me and her. I tried fighting back but they put a noose around my neck and dragged me. I was pulled away, violently, watching as my girlfriend was brutally raped and abused. Then the dream ended.

I took that, build on the masked people who attacked the couple, and created something unique. For so long it was very difficult to find a story that fit until this. I turned the masked people into some sort of local cult shrouded in wealth and power. Then the main character for this story Anthony, which is the man from the dream, I made a way for him to come back from the dead to seek revenge on those who have done him and his partner wrong. But I did add consequences for his actions as well as a cool twist with the entity who agreed to help him do that. Cheating death always comes with a great cost. Nothing in life is for free. As Anthony and his girlfriend Bridgette will find out.

LIMBO: RELEASED 2020

LIMBO is a spin-off to Angelus Custos focusing on the circles of Hell. It will affect the story for Angelus Custos by introducing new troubles, horrors, and plot lines. But in Limbo though, it will not cross with anything until its sequel. This was not based on a dream, more of a re-imagining and re-inventing of the poem "Dante's Inferno". It felt like it fit to me. The concept of re-making the landscape of Hell, to explain how things will unfold in the future as well as escalate too. It was a fun process, a lot of research, and it actually came out twice as good as Angelus Custos did as a whole. Each circle of Hell really feels alive, unique, and rich in story.

One of the key concepts that I wanted to emphasize was that there are older things in Hell than Lucifer himself. I will not say who or what those may be, but just know that I go much deeper than an icy tundra. There are definitely very evil things lurking with a greater age than him. Especially something that may or may not be dormant locked away. In a prison like state that the main character may or may not awaken by mistake. Besides that, I also wanted to put close attention to history too. Lots and lots of research went into this book to craft it the best it could be. Between historical figures, demons, concepts, and environmental crafting. That was very important for me as it needed to breathe on its own as you descended down through the pages. Also as an added addition to the book, a bestiary was created for reference in the back. That way you could study its layers a little better after reading.
